I will start with my initial impressions of the realtouch device. First off, I am not impressed. Yep, you heard me guys. One problem you will notice from using this thing is that it is so loud! I couldn't even enjoy the movie because it sounded like I had convulsing lawnmower in between me and the screen.
Another problem is that it is so INTENSE. And not in a good way either. I was thinking to myself *It doesn't look like the pornstar is trying to tear apart the dick on the screen!*
You can hardly tell that there is lube coming out while you are using the device. I know it was my first time so I think there is a chance that lube was not coming out properly because it should be flushed out with warm water. My first go I lasted like 20 minutes because I was constantly going from pleasure to quick moments of desensitizing scenes of complete nonsense!
I will write another follow-up review for next time to see if it was a fluke. I have to go for now.
TheFuture, sorry to hear you're disappointed thus far. A few notes:
- Mine isn't nearly that loud. Definitely quite audible (don't know of an automatic toy thus far that isn't), but I've heard much louder toys, and it's not anywhere near as loud as a lawnmower, so this confuses me a bit. I'd say mine sounds a bit like an RC car with an occasional click louder than that - not a perfect description but as apt as I can provide.
- It sounds to me like something's not happening properly as far as lube, as you definitely should find the amount of lube on the belts noticeable.
* Did you lube yourself first before insertion?
* Did you try increasing the lube level in the video settings section of Windows Media Player?
* Did you try using the "burst" button when things were getting intense and you needed a bit more softness?
I can only speak for myself, but when properly lubed, it should *never* feel like something' is trying to tear your dick off. heh. I've certainly felt the desensitization when it goes a bit too fast, but this sounds like something else...
Good luck and keep us updated. I can tell you my first time using it was decent, but the next two (I've used it again) saw some definite improvement, so there's a bit of a learning curve too methinks.
In regard to my previous post about my quick initial impressions review. The sound coming from the realtouch was at times tolerable, but whenever it began to go fast, the noise level would rise significantly. I take back what I said about it sounding like a lawnmower (I was exaggerating). The sound IMO can be compared to almost like a washing machine, only without the water swishing sound and it also has the occasional (this is the only way I can describe it) clicking sounds and this other sound that is hard to describe... One other major problem that I found with the Realtouch is that many times it will vibrate during certain scenes which feels more awkward than pleasurable. I really think that the realtouch would be so much better if it did not vibrate and that the belts would go slower.
During my use of the realtouch I tried out the one and only video that they had with my favorite porn star, Maya Hills, and I discovered that whenever the video would get to about 2 minutes the video would freeze, but the realtouch would keep on going as if nothing were wrong. I tried the Maya Hills video like 2 more times and it would freeze at the same spot. And yes, the other videos that I tried were fine. I informed the live chat people and they thanked me and said that it should be resolved by Monday afternoon.
On a side note: All of the 3.5 ounces of lube had been used up in the 40 minutes of me using the realtouch. It took me about 20 minutes to have an orgasm because I would go into different videos to see if I could detect differences in sensations. I think I may have used the lube burst button way too many times. How long do you think that 3.5 ounces of lube would last if the lube bar were set to 100% and I did not use the lube burst button? This toy will prove to be very expensive if I have to buy bottles of lube after every 1-2 sessions...
What brand of inexpensive lube do you recommend that I buy?
I am going to give the realtouch another go (I have 20 minutes left) in about a week from now. I am going on a trip, so I will not be able to use the realtouch until next week. I will make sure that the lube is dispensing properly when I use the realtouch next time. I will try to post an in-depth review in about a week, bye guys.
Nice update, TheFuture. A few obervations.
Now that description sounds a lot more like my unit - I wouldn't put it as loud as a washing machine I'm right next to; more like one a room away. Noise is subjective, so it's hard to say for sure, but yes, mine too is definitely audible and a little noiser when goign faster (but I personally wouldn't say that much noisier). I will say I've tried *much* noiser toys (everything from something similar to that cheap Autoblow [that was terrible] to expensive toys like the Venus 2000 which alternate between quiet and quite loud with the pumping action) and would put this toy on the moderately quiet side of the spectrum actually. I will agree the clicks are annoying (I'm beginning to think the clicks have to do with the grip at the base of the shaft when it tightens, but am not sure). I also hear a whirring sound when the lube sprays (and don't hear it if the lube isn't working).
Re the vibration, I've felt this, but seemingly only very occasionally. The times I have I kind of liked it - just a different sensation, but it didn't seem overbearing for me and it didn't last long. Maybe it had to do with the videos I was watching - I don't know.
Sorry to hear the video malfunctions. You should see if they'll credit you a few minutes for that inconvenience. I still for some reason can't jump ahead in videos.
The lube issue is probably my biggest issue with the toy so far. It does eat lube like crazy! I actually like the Wet brand that comes with it (I coincidentally use Wet light myself as my mainstay lube). Other good brands, though, are ID and Astroglide - as long as it's water based, you should be fine. (I'd keep the bottle that comes with because of the special nozzle - makes filling a bit easier). I'm wondering if the light lubes might work better in this since they should be thinner (easier to pump).
Hope you enjoy your trip and that on your return you have more success with RealTouch. I've used mine a bit more since my last post (I'm going to update my review also) and can say my experience with it is improving with a few caveats. I hope you can get it working the way you want to.
