I agree the belt would not feel good dry so you'd want to make sure they were staywing wet enough, but if you can use the burst button when needed it might be fine - it sounds like from all the leakage yours are staying too wet even on 50%? I can try it next time if you want. Yes, I would think you just uncheck the box.
My last session (50% lube for most of the session and about 10 minutes), I used about 1/4 of the 3.5 oz bottle of lube for that session based on what I figured. Not ideal but acceptable IMO. A lot less than my first few tries.
If you uncheck the box it will indeed stop the lube from coming out and at the same time you can hit the lube burst to manage lube consumption. If you do stop the lube be sure to lube yourself and the belts up.

OK, the thing works fine, but it would be VERY helpful to have one additional control in the RealTouch plug-in WMP user panel: "Intensity" - i.e. a slider that would basically control/vary the speed and/or duration of the belt movement for each trigger. Real sex has a lot more subtlety and this thing is basically on "turbo" all the time. Think about that AEBN, that would translate into longer video sessions = more dollars for you!
I have to agree with Sausage's suggestion - the videos could still work the same way/not need reencoded. Depending on how the settings were in the controls would simply adjust how much degree RealTouch reacts to the signals. So if you wanted really intense/rough sex, you could set it to max, and if you set it to min, you could have a much more subtle experience - either way, it would be generally keyed to the video in the same way.
I consider myself pretty critical....I have a Venus 2000, which I liked initially, but got bored with. Also, have a selection of Fleshjacks....and I kind of got bored with those as well. Here are my updated reactions after two weeks:
Have used my RealTouch about 6 times. Actually, I "save" it for when I want to have an out of body experience. That's what it tends to do to me.
I jack off at least once a day. This is a norm for me, so you do the math in terms of my experience with the machine. Each time I've used it I've learned something interesting. First, it does use a lot of lube. If you overfill it, the lube leaks out all over the belts (which you want), but then if you aren't careful it goes from the belts, to inside the housing, then everywhere else. Not good, as the excessive lube is what causes it to drip (you'll read other posts about a sea of lube on, under, and around you). A handy towel is essential. I'm running it on a MacBook Pro that's also running Windows architecture. The setup worked perfectly the first time, though I hope they'll soon have software for OSX and Safari. (Hmmm I wonder how I could plug it into my IPhone!). Video content is "OK", but I agree with the posters who would like a control that you could hit to "finish up". I can jackoff and edge for a VERY long time, but not with RealTouch. The guidance is not to go more than 30 minutes. Not a problem. I can't last more than about 15. The orgasms are very hard to describe....at least for me. My entire body goes rigid, my pelvis thrusts back and forth and the actual ejaculation is beyond intense.
An interesting observation about the orifice. If you move the unit out about 1 inch from your body, you get amazing squeezing sensations. A software mod somewhere in the vicinity of the lube control could do this easily.
