So its now Sept. "Hardware Issues"??
Sounds like it may never ship.

Its a great concept. Lets see if they can make a real product out of it.
Wow. I the problems are too big to skip a couple of weeks and bleed into August. Something big must be wrong.

Then why don't you just come out and make some accusations instead of a "we'll see" and "that's conveinent" every other post. Is this some super secret knowledge you have? Is Nixon going to have your head if this Pandora's Box gets opened? Either say something or don't, but don't be going around acting like you've got some sort of big secret that you won't let anyone in on, because it just makes you look like an attention whore.

I appreciate you feel the world should unfold according to your schedule. Unfortunately, I have my own agenda, which I intend to follow. You can either benefit from what I know, or not. Doesn't really matter to me either way. Calling me names, doesn't really motivate me.

On the other hand, you can be spoon fed a fairy tale that will make you all warm and fuzzy?

It is a great concept, and was a great concept....when it was originally released, nine years ago.

I knew NASA was involved with this project, but didn't know the CIA was too!

None of that will be necessary, you've shown that you just like the attention and have no actual substance, so I'm done, you go on alluding to your vast secrets and continue adding nothing to the discussion. Maybe someone else will come by and be annoyed enough by you to give you the attention you so desperately seek, but it won't be me.

I'm heartbroken.

Some of the people in this industry take the technology development VERY seriously.
And no, NASA, nor the CIA were involved in the development.

The NASA reference comes from a Internext panel session by the real inventor of this technology. The reference was to "haptic technology" used in the space program. Both of these terms were then "adopted" by the legal council of AEBN, also a panel speaker, and fancies himself "an expert in the technology," (Reference AVN article January 4, 2009, by Kathee Brewer, entitled "Fantasy Bites" both online, and in the print editions of the magazine.)
"Fantasy Bites" <<<<Link to Article

The funniest part about it all is how the attorney claimed to have "assisted the developers of 90 to 95 percent of the haptic patents. " Now, you want an attention whore..... It is simply not true, and he had NOTHING to do with the FIRST and ONLY product, actually in existence.
New website looks good. But its still not shipping. I called the number on the website and they just said "Late Fall". It sounds like they just don't know when its going to ship. But as of right now they do answer their phone. So I guess they are working on it.

Considering the $100,000K plus they have spent in advertisements in the trade journals, I would certainly hope so.
Otherwise, this has been a REALLY expensive act of futility.
it they only use this toy with the VOD system as they subscribe it like a toy for the sundays that you'll have to use with internet connection!

believe me, this product would really fail !!!

some way or options to make more succes of this toy,

- create dvd's to sell full of shows of stars, so people could use the toy also without an internet connection!
& make this avaible when the product is launched! else better, delay...
- VOD ok looks nice, but let people pay only for live interaction with a ""real model""!
not with movies ripped elsewhere from the net!
- Create own realtouch movies with blue screens...

- the best way to the biggest succes >> they could create a tutorial & teach how people could create there own cue points on there own vids....
= lot's of toys selled, why? >>>> because everybody would have this toy :cP

Dude I understand where you are coming from but dang...you've posted the same thing on like 4 threads. Seriously....make your point once and then allow the discussion to continue. Don't bogart the entire forum.

Moving on...

I'm hoping someone will tell us sooner rather than later if this thing is not really coming out (ahem...HapticEncoder...lol). I, for one, really hate being kept hanging here. Could they at least send out more tester units to those of us who have been faithfully waiting (since February)? It's not like we have a huge community here. Is this possible?
This thing is never going to ship. IF it does, it will fail. The fact that you can't use it while not watching a movie is still mindblowing and absurd.
