After lurking for quite a while I've registered just to say that I'm unimpressed by Deep Throat's lack of professionalism. I had been open to investigating all alternatives, but when somebody represents themselves and their company in this way, I find myself turned off to the idea of spending money on their product.
I haven't yet decided whether to buy a RealTouch (I too am waiting to see if they will offer DVDs or downloadable content for purchase [EDIT: or, if not downloadable, just the ability to purchase a DVD to stream repeatedly--I understand that piracy will be a concern]) but my decision about the competing product is easier: using competitors' forums as a platform for advertising your own product, whether explicitly or implicitly, just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
He can certainly deny that he's donig this, and I'm not interested in joining that debate--the perception of potential consumers is all that matters, and my perception has painted a negative picture.
