Will there a monthly fee to have access to videos or will you have to log on each time you wish to use the device? Or will you be able to buy the video so you wont need an internet connection. I only ask because a persons mood can change from day to day, some times you may want to go for along time or some times you may just want a quickie... If RealTouch is going to charge access to videos i hope there will be a low cost monthly access or sell the videos for download. I would hate to feel like I got a hooker in the room with me trying to up sell me just cuz I didn't finish in 30 min.

Good question jerj, but I doubt you will get the answer until realtouch goes live. Considering the current economical situation, I'd say, realtouch videos will be "down to earth" priced...

I unfortunately have no insight into actual RealTouch pricing, so bear this in mind.

That said, I'm a current subscriber to AEBN, which is the parent company in charge of RealTouch. If it happens to use the same basic model, you buy minutes through various packages (as little as 15 minutes or as many as 1000 for AEBN...pricing decreasing the bigger package you get - I generally go with the biggest as the price incentive is pretty good). Then you can access any video on the site and use those minutes (Windows Media Player or Real Media I believe...I think they have a Flash player for some videos now too).

AEBN at present does offer a few other options as well, though I'm not sure if these will translate to RealTouch videos given the fact they are encoded with special cues to move the hardware. Also, I've never actually used any of these other options myself, but they are available. For a greater price obviously, AEBN offers downloadable movies with time limits (eg. 48 hours...a week, etc. - I'd assume these are restricted to Windows Media Player but am not certain of this) and even movies you can burn to DVD and own/use forever.

It will be interesting to see if RealTouch follows a similar model or changes it up a bit.

What does everyone consider to expensive for this economy? By that I mean per minute.

But here is my thing with the pay per minute, there are so many other sites out there that are cheeper then the one posted above, for 100.00 us brazzers.com I get 1 year total access to everything, unlimited viewing downloads if I wish to keep and there are links with other sites that share there access with lots of updates, all shows up great on the TV or computer. But that is to watch porn, this is to interact with porn! a huge difference from any device out there. With that said this device will only work if you log in to the web site so I think a lot of people will drop off at that unless you offer something more main stream such as a monthly sub for around 12 a month. So my marketing ideas would be this

1. offer a manual select mode so it is functional with out video support, this will allow you to capture more customers and you increase your odds of getting more to try the true features of the device. What happens if the company goes under and you can no longer plug in to the web site... the device will no longer function?? big risk for the customers.

2. rather then try to maintain content for your own site, link up with another like brazzers (not plugging them just the one on the top of my head) where they do a lot of there own, would be easy I think to get them to make videos centered around the device and that would be even better I think and easy to code with the device.

3. Here is the big one, and this should be on the cover of this site and a huge selling point... "STAMINA TRAINING FOR MEN" use this device with special made videos to increase your stamina, What is the number one thing you hear ladies complain about?? "like ummm Your done already?" The trouble is some times most men go so long between that when they do find some one your way to sensitive and you will peak before she does, unless you are lucky to find some one in the same time frame as you. With that as one of your selling point you could also offer this device through more media outlets like maxim and other mens magazines.

Here is my story, I have a toy (not going to plug competition) that I use just like you would a work out with a home gym. This way when I do meet some one and take them home or go home with them I can have confidence i wont be over sensitive. If you have a girl who has not been with anyone is a while you look like a love a machine to here because you will be able to make her cum over and over and over and she will be impressed with you. So to sum it all up, I don't think you will get as many customers if you charge for the device and you then charge every time you want to turn it on. I understand it cost money to make the videos so I say do something like a monthly sub, then your customers don't have to worry about time. or just offer a manual select mode for had job, blow job and so on you get the point so it can be used with out video support. You want to make as many men comfortable owning this thing as you can, there is still a huge stigma about men who cant get laid when they want and have to *gasp* stroke it!

DO IT FOR THE BETTER OF MAN KIND EVERYWHERE!!

I already made my case earlier, but to sum up, I think 99 cents is fine as a starting price (not ideal mind you but understandable), but I do think that's too expensive if that's the price set in stone (ie. no cheaper bulk packages or download-to own movies, etc.). I certainly think a lot of people will buy the device and try it out for that price, but the real question is will they keep paying for the minutes over the long haul at that price, especially if third-party applications eventually become available. And I think, at that point, once the newness and novelty wear off, 99 cents is going to be a bit too high. Granted this is something they can certainly adjust over time.

jerj, I like your post - especially the interesting ideas of marketing it as a stamina and sexual health device. Great ideas! I also like the idea of a monthly fee (though I think they could probably price it a bit higher than $12.00 a month if they offered unlimited access...I know regular porn sites that charge $19.99 a month - not that I'd complain about a lower price LOL, but thinking based on its interactivity). But I would certainly say a monthly "locked" fee would be awesome!

for me the only draw back about it is you will have to pay by the minute, I would rather not have to worry about it. My fear is your getting to that point and then bam! black screen with some text "your minutes have expired, would you like to buy more time"? then jump up and the device hits the floor, your running around looking for your wallet with your junk flying around like crazy and if the room is dark you run the medical risk of banging it in to things (ouch) you get your wallet you run back to the computer your punching in numbers selecting what you want then you try to get back to your video and start it up again ... crap by this time you have gone soft, the chick in the video is only seconds away from finishing or she already finished with out you and ... well thats if folks you missed out. Then you develop mental anguish over it you have physical damage to your man junk and if your sloppy then you got lube all over key board... there could be a liability issue here realtouch folks!! If I was your lawyer I would advise a monthly access.
