Has anyone tried the free service?
*I THINK* they made it purposely bad!
They want to discourage using the device if your not paying by the minute. I was happy to hear that they were coming out with a rental/buy service and most of all I was happy they were coming out with a free service.
I delayed my plans on hacking the Realtouch, until I used their free service.
The damn FREE service is a horrible forward and back motion (with high pitch beeping sounds) that IS WORSE THAN FUCKING THE DEVICE DURING WARM UP START (which I have done and is FAR superior to this "free" service) -- just turn the power on and off!
The free service IS designed to make you uncomfortable
it pushes your dick out of the machine ...

I said; "Damn this shit sucks! I'm just going to enjoy one of the Pay Per view movies".
I paid $200 for the device and I was hoping the free service...
would give you some control over the device, BUT NO.
I could deal with the idea that they would take one of their movies and run it without the sound or video (and change it every once in a while)... BUT NO.
Friends THE FREE SERVICE is a SCAM.

Can anyone sincerely say they enjoyed it more than warmup startup?
This pisses me off. I'm hacking this shit in my free time.
I'll make an off the shelf hardware controller and software authoring tool and release the whole thing free to the public.

Certainly it is understandable that you may not like the free usage feature, as it is a basic experience for using your real touch device, however as always we do hear you the customers in response to this.
So I pose a question, what if, our users were to perhaps find a video that is universally favored and we use it in lieu of the video that we created for the free usage. Now being that this user base is divided between straight and gay content, please remember the free usage doesn't discriminate between the two as it is impartial without video and audio. So you'd want to probably use a track that simulates both oral and intercourse well or perhaps both types of intercourse only.
Perhaps if there was a poll for the users to vote on a favorite video or a most used video that we can take a look at using, I do believe we'd be able to get it up there for use instead of whats there.
Alternatively we could possibly look at using some kind of rotating free feature but that is less likely and may still not please our users, but therein lies the problem, we cannot please everyone. Well by virtue of that we will leave it up to you guys, perhaps I'll make a new poll in the coming days if one doesnt pop up, but it would consist of "Users pick a scene, Real Touch will pick the most popular, Leave as is, rotate via sexual encounter", so users pick, is you guys coming to terms with a favored scene, us taking the most popular video and using it would be the second, leaving it as is, or rotating by oral, anal, or vaginal sex.
Lets hear your opinions and ideas on what you would like to see for the free usage.
I can foresee issues if the user doesn't know what the sexual orientation of the source clip was, especially if they later find out it doesn't mesh with what they usually go for. Kind of ridiculous I think, I could just see problems arising out of this arrangement.
The best option might be to just offer the haptic portion of a revolving door of both straight and gay content with a link to the source scene included alongside the free track. This not only lets the user know the kind of experience the device is simulating, it also helps advertise the scene itself.
Certainly I can see that there could be a potential issue if someone were unaware of the context of the free track but for right now it was a track we created from scratch and is in use for both portals. We are working on different ideas for giving options of free usage but it will most likely continue to be one track at a time.
In so far as posting the clip next to it, we probably would avoid doing that as well because in a lot of cases, this free usage is going to be universal to both portals. Simply put, right now we are tossing around a number of ideas, but because our customers feedback and opinions matter to us, we also want to place the ball in your court and continue to get your ideas.

I am a long time lurker here and thought I would break my silence to support the rotating clip idea.
How about a free streaming Chanel that show highlights from each clip, like you have as a preview under the stars tab but with rt functionality. This would take time but I think it would be a great sales tool for you because it would allow us to decide what clips we want to buy and would show use the different things real touch can do.
Also how about packaging shorter clip rentals together at the same price as the longer rentals. I think the price for the longer clips are a bit steep but ok for a new technology. But $30 for a 2 or 4 min clip, you gotta be kidding. I would also like to see series bundled together at a discount price, I would love to own all the blow me sandwiches but not at $30 a pop.
I waited until there were options other than ppm before i bought my real touch because I wanted a virtual sex toy not a damn robot hooker. I am a lot happier with the new changes then the ppm model, they are a step in the right direction.

Right, and if it is a track designed without any particular context just to feel good, as I understand it is now, there isn't any issue, I can just see there being an issue if the user ultimately finds out that the track they've been using was designed for someone of a different sexual orientation.

That was just if you intended to borrow a track from an existing title, as a means to avoid the aforementioned problem.
It was far too mild when I tried it for the one day before my unit stopped working. It's better than absolutely nothing though.
I think that it should definately be changed to something with more stimulation.
How far did you get into the free usage? The stimulation changes a few times within the 6 minute playback. Try jumping ahead a bit and you may find something you like.
