Is it just me, or has RealTouch / AEBN ever considered encoding and licensing some 3D videos. Seems like a natural pairing with RealTouch.

lol, they can't create 2d movies for the realtouch
they only use the bad AEBN streaming library for it.

I would also like to see 3d movies on the real touch, but it's only in the back of my mind. I would also like to see lesbian strap on action too.

Yeah, for the Realtouch to get 3D, AEBN needs to get 3D, but hopefully that happens soon. The adult industry generally isn't shy about adopting popular new technology to sell more product. You can also sign me up for some of that strap-on content, though If POV strap-on movies exist, I've never seen them and it seems like the Realtouch works best with that sort of movie.

Good 3D porn is very rare at this point I think, but it already does exist in relatively small quantities. No affiliation, and I'm bringing it up since it's the best example I know, but Dominic Ford (do a Google search if interested; note he ONLY does gay porn at present; I'm not sure if there's a straight equivalent) does it and does it very well. He supports non-HD and HD feeds of both the old format using blue and red glasses, and he's already supporting the new 3DTV format as well (I haven't gotten a chance to try this as I don't have a 3DTV, but I think it's pretty cool he's already doing it.) One thing I learned from his site is it's either very easy to convert one format to the other OR he prepared for this well in advance as when I first visited it was only the multi-color glasses, and a lot of the videos, including ones that were there when I first checked it out, now are in both formats. It's quite a kick even with the multicolored glasses that distort color - I imagine with the new technology (where you get regular full color and better 3D) it's just amazing.

At any rate, I think 3D is going to start to be big in the next couple years. 3DTV's are just starting to hit the shelves and TV providers such as DirecTV are already announcing plans for 3D channels launching fairly soon, etc. Porn will follow, and AEBN would be stupid not to jump on that bandwagon since Video on Demand is their main business.

I think to do proper 3D you need to shoot the scene with a 3D camera or make depth maps by hand (a lot of work). You can take a standard video and split it into red and blue overlays and get some of the same effect, but it doesn't really work well. If the porn industry is making big-budget films like Pirates though, they can afford to invest in some 3D cameras.
