I am having the same problem with my real touch it freeze's 2 minutes into a movie then I have to reload a new movie or fast forward it. I lost alot of minutes because of this.
Now lube does not come out on the belts. Why are there so many problems with this item I would really just like to return this item. Takes 20 minutes to set up had to contact customer support it's really embarrassing to have to go through all this. I mean for $200 you would think this item would work better. I was told I was getting a new Real Touch. But they never gave me a tracking number for the new one or when it will be shipped. I really liked the item for the 5 minutes it worked.
I an so suprised to hear so many having issues. I had a freeze issue but a little longer buffer fixed it. As far as stopping in the middle of a video, did you just try and cycle the power insted of re-starting the video? Just as a diag thing. I set mine up with no troubles. I was one of the first to get one and it has been working great since. I did have to get a new Mini Tower. Support was quick and professional. Call them back. Raymond is awsome and helpfull. They will fix the problem is my experiance.
Tried to warm it up today now it gets a high pitch grinding noise. I can't wait for a new one Because I liked it so much I am sad mine did not work right. The video's worked for a bit then just froze If I went forward on the video a bit it would work. I tried restalling the software. tried turning the box on and off let warm up again. I tried just about everything the customer sevice guy told me to do. My RT is just toast. It is now also leaking lube out cord but it woun't come out were it supose to. I think I just got a lemon and hope the new one works.

Mine broke after 6 months. I emailed and asked if it was under warranty. They said no and that they would replace it for $149.00. I stated I would pay that but i thought the product should be built better.
I emailed and asked how to pay them and BEFORE they answered a NEW unit showed up NO CHARGE.
That is GREAT customer service!!!!

There gonna send me a new one also but this item is great it's hard to be with out one after you try it. It's really worth the money if they don't break. I think I just got a lemon.

Glad to hear in the end they did replace it for free! I'm honestly not sure their full replacement/warranty policy but so far (and it's still early on) it seems pretty good. I haven't had any problems to have to test it myself yet. Once we hit the 1 year mark it'll be interesting to see how they handle broken units.
Ok I got my new RT used it 1 time again and I noticed the lube is coming out of the cord again. You told me I was getting the new Rt and it would not leak, well mine leaked all over as far as I see it you owe me a new bed spread. Why do you lie saying the problem is fixed when it is not? I would like a full refund. You guys do not take phone calls, live chat does not work and now you don't look at your email. I even bought a video for $29.95. This item is junk as far as I see it and you customer service is a joke. Just give me my money back please I don't want to wait another 5 days for another one then you say if I wait longer I get a new RT that does not leak you just say I am getting a new one. But I bet you were out of stock. I reinstalled the software and tryed to reboot reconnect the rt and it does not work. Btw I had 4 towels down and an old blanket it leaked through all of that.
It's too bad we're starting to see more of these problems being reported. Fiendz, you aren't the first to find lube leaking out of the cord hole. Even those users that say their units are working fine with the cord leakage, I expect eventually those units will break down. I've mentioned it before because I opened up my unit when it broke down... if lube is coming out of the cord hole, then lube is also getting into the wires and motors.
The nice thing is that the company is replacing units, at least to the people on this board that wrote about their unit breaking (including me). When I received my new realtouch, the shell wasn't fitting correctly. It would pop off no matter which way I put it in (and yes I was putting it on the right way). Well customer service offered to replace the shell, but really I'm kind of fed up and will just use a large rubber band around the shell.
Anyhow, I'm not bad mouthing the company, because I do like the realtouch. Hopefully, the units are improved by them and also spark new competition as well to take these toys to the next level.
