there is no news around, they are working on a version 2 of the unit, that solve this problems!
they better start thinking to modify the hardware for lube things....
& protect the motors....& others part that have to be water & lube free.
Wierd the shell on my real touch never cliped on the the RT ever. Seems alot of the same problems for everone. Sigh this item is really great when it works but they need to fix the leaking and the shell problem it seems. I still have to talk toy the main tech for RT hope he can fix the problems. Sigh hate waitng for ups.
FWIW, My replacement unit, while not perfect, has been working great so far.
The lube pump broke pretty quickly, but I can live with that. This unit appears to be sealed much better, I don't have any of the signs of leaking that my last unit had. Also my cable isn't being supported very well by the grommet. It keeps working it's way out, sometimes enough to show the wires below. I'm honestly surprised none of the connections inside the RT have been pulled out yet. I've just been careful, and I pulled out the cable abit, wrapped it with some electrical tape, and slid it back in, it's better but I still need to be careful.
My last unit leaked, and one of the motors stopped working because if it. Most definitely would have been rusted if I opened it up.
So far so good, and now with the unlimited and free use options, I have been using my device more frequently. Hopefully it lasts a long long time!
