It's been months since I last posted and actually this news of mine is long overdue. I bought my realtouch back in October. I was very careful with cleaning. I noticed after I rinsed it, it felt like and sounded like there was still water stuck inside so I would leave it drying upside down for a few days to try to have everything leak out. This happened every time I cleaned it and it worked fine afterward so I thought everything was ok. After October, I probably only used it 2 times a month and made sure that the lube was cleaned out. Anyway, one day one belt stopped working and thought it was possibly lube had dried up and totally stuck the belt. I kept using it with only one functioning belt. Eventually, the second belt died, but before throwing it away I decided to open the thing up. Well, everything that is metal in there was totally rusted. These gears are located in a section where no water should be able to enter. But if you've noticed, the realtouch is not put together very well in the first place. I have no clue how the water got in there, especially since I was very careful with cleaning. Had I known that's where the extra water was going I would have returned it within the 30 day warranty period. Oh well, that's what happens when you buy the first version of something.
I think I'll eventually get another one, BUT will wait for like version 2 or 3. I still have over 2 hours of minutes left!!
Anyway, beware version 1 buyers. You are the test group.
Attached are pictures of the rusted parts.[

WOW, dude that's
very bad for your health!
looks very dangerous for sicknesses & so on!
this is enough for me for don't but a realtouch!
that's a real serious problem your pictures.
it's true, they really should change something on the unit.
this may not happen!
For every time you rinsed your realtouch, did you keep the shell off and let the the main device dry in a well ventilated space? Also, did you ever completely douse the realtouch underwater? I suspect CSR or haptic will respond soon, they take of you in regards of getting a replacement.

Yah, I rinsed like they do in their video instructions with the shell off and no, I never doused it underwater. After padding it dry, I air dried it with the shell off, upside down (so the lube reservoir hole is facing the ground) so excess water and lube could leak out. I left it drying like this for a few days then would wrap it in a towel and store it with the shell off.
Sluggy please consult your PM's
I've had the same problem with mine....I got it to work again for another month by putting it though a warm up cycle a few times. Had to make sure the belt was lubed, but it became more reliable before it was finally done. The downside to this technique is that belt breaks down alot faster. And the seal near the orifice on the lube fill port side started to seperate because of the repeated heat cycle. Once I saw that, I pulled it apart as seen in the pics from sluggy and got the same interior views.. Corossion on all the motors. It was fun while it lasted though.
