7-Day Rentals – Customers pay $9.95 for unlimited viewing within a 7-day period
What has stopped many people from buying the RealTouch is the thought that you are going to pay $199 for something that you will then have to pay for again and again if you want to use it (once your free 60 minutes have been used up). Is this true? When will we be able to OWN our own realtouch videos?
That's what we've been hearing, when it will go into effect or if those are the finalized prices, I'm not sure we can say just yet. I think that the realtouch has been hurt by its restrictive pricing model thus far, but this is the one thing that can help it recover.

I think they could market it better also, but I have been saying that for a while and it feels like I'm yelling at a wall.
These changes will go into effect in May.
The pricing change will not take place until May? So, what else can you tell us about the pricing changes?
Are there only going to be these two options?,

Or, are they going to implement other changes, like for example: change the realtouch website, offer monthly subscription plans, etc.

My talks with RealTouch has shown me that they are not hurting. They actuly have been suprised and amazed each month on how well its doing. It is just the normal progression of a new product to market. It is just the time to change as monies have been recouped or in a position to be able to change. I will bet this was always in the plan. Now I hope all the complaining wil stop. I would bet no.
Do you think they will make improvements to the current RealTouch unit?
I, along with many other users, have found the ribbed belts within the current RealTouch unit to be too intense. I think they should make another RealTouch model with smooth belts. I personally think that it would feel more realistic if the belts were smooth. Just wanted to throw that idea out there.

I think they could improve on the real touch model, using multiple belts and I bet they have considered that.

'm hope you're right with new pricing models, but think there still will be a lot of people, not happy with virtual storage of movies to own. even windows you bought on cd or downloaded iso file..
The talk of the new prices being introduced in march or april was unofficial, but now haptic encoder has stated May, that's pretty much official.
As far as the worldwide release of the RealTouch is concerned, I saw on the offcial forum a RealTouch representative state that internatinal delivery will be 'some time down the line' - which I guess means not for a good few months yet.
