I recently tried to use my RealTouch on a new computer. Turns out I can't wothout contacting the product Mfg during regular buisness hours. This is a bit of crap. Why shoould I have to do that to change computers? My account still shows it reg to me with the device ID. Chat support tells me I cant use it. Shouldnt matter. I get the Can't authorize from server error. Guess it isnt as portable as we thought.
Huh? Could you give me some more info?
Hey H.E.

I had to change computers for a bit, so when I hooked the RealTouch up to my laptop it would start the video and then stop. I would get a message that it could not validate with the server, or something close to that. I wen't to online support and was told that I have to call RealTouch during reg hours and have it re-authorized on the new computer.
What operating system are you using? Windows 7 does have a little problem with the RealTouch software, but there is an easy fix.

However, the "could not validate with the server" sounds more like a firewall problem.
No firewall problem. Installed it on a XP and Vista computers. It worked fine on my windows 7 computer before the problem.. Product support called me and they are replceing the tower. support got intouch with me fast.
There is no firewall problem.I installed it on a XP and Vista computers. It is very good to solve the problem.I won't to online support and was told that I have to call RealTouch during reg hours and have it re-authorized on the new computer.
This is not correct. The device is not tied to a computer. As long as you have the plug-in installed, and an active account, it will work on any computer you choose.
