Personally, if it needs to connect to the internet to verify that I am not using illegal software, or pirated content, I'm fine with that. I just want a different option as opposed to pay-per-minute only option. If there can be some other option, including, buying clips to own, but still having to stream them in order to protect the content, thats fine with me. Cuz it is still unlimited use for that content. Thats the part that matters to me. Is that I can get use for the product, outside of the time I want to pay-per-minute.
I mean, sure I would like DVD boxed products I could own. I really would like that, it would be nice to have. But I also understand the concern with doing this of how it would open up the RealTouch to more piracy. So simply having the option to buy unlimited streaming of some sort, seems like the best compromise, to satisfy people who don't always want pay-per-minute, but also the streaming as opposed to disc based unlimited, allows for higher security. So sounds like a good compromise for both partys to me.

why dvd's always direct to piracy???

a good product will sell as hell! piracy can never do big things with it!
in the world are still movies, still mp3's or cd sells & so on & on...
& they scream for 10 years about the piracy!
there is only one big problem with that industry, they sell there products way to high in some countries & at that moment people try find an alternative in piracy! it's only created by the industry it self!
not al people have the billions to spend, but still would & search for a good way to life, & try to fill it with some entertaining products they like.
that life style is given to the people with all the media, publications they see on tv, magazines....
let's think about that!

I don't even understand Dancer's complaint considering we don't even sell in Europe right now. Can you say beating a dead horse?
yes i know, it's not launched in Europe

but we expected this soon in europe

it's one big bet here of who's the first to arrive!
the usa version or the japanese version

I truly believe that the RealTouch will have a dramatic increase in sales for both the units and for the video content. The following two sentences say it all,
"Unlimited Rentals – Customers pay $29.95 and have unlimited access to a RealTouch video for life
7-Day Rentals – Customers pay $9.95 for unlimited viewing within a 7-day period"
I have not even used my RealTouch after my free minutes ran out because I do not want to pay-per-minute. However, once the new pricing change is implemented I will be more than happy to dish out money for video content that I can OWN and have unlimited access to. Or, I could have a blast trying out different videos with a 7-day rental!
I personally don't think that it matters if the video content must be streamed via internet connection. The reason being is that I understand that piracy would be too big a risk for AEBN to take. Many people will agree that the only thing stopping them from purchasing a RealTouch is the current pay-per-minute pricing. Once the pricing change takes place AEBN will have opened the flood gates.

Customers pay $29.95 for a single realtouch scene or the whole movie???
I understand the PPV model, they are in it for $$$.
Personally the biggest issue for me is w/o an internet connection the thing is dead. If one were able to control and use the device w/o the internet- say not with a sync'ed video but just manual control or by running a "script"- it would be great. I would pay for scripts that I could own and use w/o internet. Say one for oral, one vag, one anal- then I could look at whatever I wanted to- penthouse or a video and just let it run.

I think you will be happy with development in the future. I can't say much but you can expect to see something like this down the road.

that's what we all said around here!
the use w/o internet connection is the biggest problem.
easly solved with special created content dvd/bluerays for the unit.

Careful now, with that term "Life."
Is that "life" of the the user, "life" of AEBN, "Life" of the original content license from the actual content owner (Which probably isn't AEBN,) "Life" of the unit, or something else?
Many states in the union, and several European countries take a very dim view of these types of terms......
I applaud the realization that the consumer doesn't want to keep paying a "tax" on the use of his machine, and some fixed price, high though it might be, is preferable. But if the consumer can't get access to the content, for whatever reason, (No internet, AEBN site down or gone, content license dispute, or any number of a 100 other reasons,) then where does that leave that "lifetime access?" If the consumer doesn't have possession/control of the content, that "foreseeable contractual guarantee defect" can't be fulfilled.
