From my point of view, it's much better to delay the realtouch release, until it gets refined to the highest standard, than to start selling a piece of junk and kill the whole market at once. I strongly believe, that realtouch will not disappoint us, once it's out. I just hope they get some attractive models for their VOD interactive videos, as those, they have advertised at the moment, well, can't say, they look extremely sexy to me...
Another update from the Real Touch team, after I inquired about a few questions, I got this.

As it stands, we will be selling compatible Pay Per Minute packages just as with existing VOD and although pricing is yet to be finalized, it should be fairly reasonable when taken into context of just what the Real Touch offers vs any other form of Adult Entertainment. Real Touch is designed to be used solely in conjunction with your PC (must have an active internet connection) and our proprietary, ever expanding library of compatible video - Real Touch can not be used as a stand alone device or in conjunction with any other video medium: this includes current VOD, Download To Own, XXX2Burn as offered by AEBN however; depending upon market interest and demographic response, adding these functions is a consideration for the future but is not assured.
So its going to be packaged deals now, so maybe 50 bucks buys you 30 minutes of video? If so, that would be bad

That is true but, regardless of how much they charge will be depending on how many people will buy it, for example if they charge 5 dollars per minute, no one will buy it, but if they were to charge .99 per minute, everyone would buy it.

I wouldn't. I will not pay close to $1/min. That's insane. I realize people pay that all the time, and phone sex used to be around $4/min, but then I always thought people who used those services are insane, too.
I became a big fan (and spender) on PPM VOD sites when they started coming down to around 10 cents/min, like maxhardcorevod.com. The costs of hosting/serving are small these days, and I'm sure Max and the others are making bank, even at 10 cents/min. Sure, RT is better than just straight porn, but we're already paying the cost of the hardware up-front, and the cost of encoding a video is one-time. Anything above, say, 25 cents/min, I will consider unreasonable. If I wait, it will eventually come down. Either the interface will be hacked, or a knock-off will appear in a few years, and probably outclass RT in terms of features a few years after that.
I'm very excited about RT, and very much would love to become a customer, but I'm not going to sell my soul for it. If they run their business right, they'll have my patronage. They longer they put off coming down to a reasonable price and business model, the longer they'll have to wait for patronage.

I am astonished by your post, and find it unreasonable. I don't see how you can be so cheap, hate to sound harsh but it is the truth, in a perfect world it may be that cheap but damn, the videos are probably around 30 minutes or so, you think 10 cents a minute is going to be the rate, I highly doubt it. Many people will pay for a dollar a minute if its high quality. The hardware it self is reasonably cheap if you look at what your getting, normally I would expect this to be around 500.00. I will be shocked if it goes below a dollar a minute but somewhat surprised at the same time. Only time will tell.
